Winter in the studio

This weekend I’m taking advantage of the few extra minutes of light (and avoiding homework) and messing around with my new pallet knives. I was inspired by a friend who, at his gallery show opening, said “just put the paint down, and dont worry about it being perfect. Get the emotion of it down first, the realness, and You can fill in the details later; because it’s the feeling of it that makes a piece stand out.”

A little Johnny Cash on Pandora, and I’m good to go!

There is also a Skagit Valley daffodil art contest I have my eye on, with a deadline this week.....
